How are votes scored?
Votes on BillsandVotes.com are categorized and scored by policy area. Scores are based on the Minnesota Legislature's own time honored, no nonsense system of pressing either the green button, indicating Yea, or approval of the measure being voted on, or the red button, indicating Nay, or rejection of the measure. There are only two options - either the green/yea vote is the correct vote, or the red/nay vote is the correct vote. We score each correct vote with a value of 1. Members' scores are the percent of correct votes cast in each policy area. Votes that are not scored are listed as such.
Who are my members?
Don't worry about it - nobody knows who their members are. Just go to this site and fill in your address. The results will give you the Minnesota House and Senate district numbers and your congressional district. And where you need to go to vote.

How did my members vote?
To see how your senator or representative voted, click on the journal page link on the vote summary page. Members are not scored on the votes they missed. We assume that missed votes are excused. In the near future, missed votes will be listed for each member simply as a reference. Please Note: For some reason the Senate does not provide HTML versions of their Journal. After you click the page link, you'll need to enter the page number in the form. That will open a PDF version of the Senate Journal for that date. You'll need to scroll down to the specific page.
